Verizon announced today, June 4, customers will be able to preorder the Samsung Galaxy S III starting June 6 at 7 a.m. The phone will be available in 16 GB and 32 GB models for $199.99 and $249.99 respectively with a new two-year customer agreement.

Verizon indicates that the phone will be available in Marble White and Pebble Blue. Customers will need to subscribe to a 4G LTE mobile broadband data packages, which start at $30/month for 2 GB of data.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, runs Android 4.0, and seems to have plenty of speed (1.5 GHz dual-core processor) and RAM (2 GB). This phone should work nicely on Verizon’s expanding LTE network, which was rated very highly in the Nashville market according to a recent RootMetrics report.

One of the features Verizon shares in their press release is Share Shot. With this service, users can create their own temporary photo-sharing network. Photos can be taken by any member of the group and shared with the entire group. With summer trips upon us, this may be good when visiting family members.

For more information, visit Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S III page, or visit your local Verizon store in the coming weeks to experience the device for yourself.
