Today, September 4, Apple mailed out invitations to an event in San Francisco on September 12 at 10 a.m. PST. The event will be at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. While the exact topic is not identified, the media and consumers are expecting an announcement for the next iPhone.
The invitation is simple. It contains a tagline and some numbers. The tagline for the event is “It is almost here.” While the numbers feature twelve for the date. However, the shadow for the twelve is the number five. This could be for the name of the next iPhone.
Per many rumors, Apple will probably review iOS 6 and provide a release date for the new, mobile operating system. With hopes of a larger screen, smaller sim card, and better camera, the next iPhone is the top of the hype for the event.
There have also been some rumors about other new products that may be released around the same time. While an iPad mini may need to wait until a possible October event, a new iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, and iPod Touch may be in the works and set to be showcased during the September 12 event.
We’ll need to wait until next week to find out the details. However, the rumors will continue to grow until then. While local Apple stores in the Nashville area are comfortable, waiting in line is not. So, here’s hoping that pre-orders will be a part of the announcement.
