Today, November 8, AT&T announced they will offer customers $100 off any tablet purchased at an AT&T company store or online with a two-year data plan agreement. This offer goes into effect November 9.

AT&T’s tablet selection has been growing over this last year. This large selection provides customers with many tablets and still more data plans from which to choose. If a consumer has the AT&T Mobile Share plan, a tablet can be added to an existing package for $10 a month.

Data plan options for tablets on AT&T include:
  • AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1 GB and 20GB
  • AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB
  • AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB
  • AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB

Chief Marketing Officer at AT&T, David Christopher shared, "AT&T has the widest variety of tablets and a broad choice of data plans to pick from. With this new promotional discount for any tablet we sell, we're giving our customers even more reason to stock up on the hottest device of the season, and just in time for the holidays."

While customers can tether to a smartphone on Mobile Share plan, it is definitely easier to simply access the Internet for email, games, and web browsing directly from the device itself. With more tablets taking advantage of AT&T’s growing and speedy, 4G LTE network, this may offer a great experience to many users who would not normally consider adding a data plan to their tablets.

With the upcoming release of the iPad mini on cellular networks, this will help make up the difference between the Wi-Fi and cellular models. Stop by your local AT&T store on November 9 to investigate your options.
